An Urgent Call to Prayer

We are living in times that we cannot risk prayerlessness.

 WHAT IS GOING ON?

This week it was reported that Israel was barbarically attacked by the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas. Not just going for the military, but a ruthless attack -- killing grandmothers, families, and even infants.

"There have been about 1,200 Israelis that have been butchered by Hamas terrorists. That is the equivalent to around 30,000 or 40,000 Americans, if you adjust for population.” said Karys Rhea, a fellow with the Jewish Leadership Project.

Rhea said they suffered the bloodiest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

WHAT ABOUT FRIDAY, OCT. 13, TAKES THE CONFLICT UP A LEVEL?

Khaled Mashal, a leader and founding member of the Islamic terror group Hamas, has called for a global Day of Rage on Friday, saying “this is the time for Jihad,” according to American Greatness.

Mashal called all Muslims "to show anger, especially next Friday, in Muslim countries and Also among Muslim diaspora around the world"; he called it “the Friday of Al-Aqsa flood” and said "this will send a message of rage to Zionists and to America."

Mashal, calling all Muslims to fight and be martyrs, said,"This is the time for Jihad to be applied on the ground rather than just in theory."

“Brother Rachid,” a former Muslim Christian convert who hosts a weekly television show in Morocco, shared Mashal’s speech on X (@BrotherRasheed).

WHAT CAN WE DO?

1. PRAY. (Here's a sample prayer...will you pray it aloud with me?)

Almighty Father, I pray for the peace of Israel. Lion of Judah, ROAR! Send your mighty armies to Israel, the surrounding nations, and all across the Earth to bring utter failure to every nefarious plot, plan, scheme, and intention. May your hosts confuse communication, make weapons malfunction, and remove the voices of leaders propagating the enemy's agenda. 

Bless Kingdom leaders with Divine wisdom, insight, revelation, protection and strength. Pour out your glory on all flesh, and may millions know the truth and be set free. May modern day Sauls turn to Pauls as they have revelation of your goodness and grace, and, in turn, use their God-given talents to fight for you. Kingdom of God, come! Will of God be done! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

2. Take one minute to encourage your elected officials to stand with Israel.  (Although we are allies with Israel, some of our officials are sympathizing with Hamas.) Let them hear your voice.

ARE YOUR OLDER CHILDREN HEARING ABOUT IT?

Ask your children if their teachers are talking about the conflict at school, and what they have heard. Anti-semitism runs deep even in American education (especially in universities).

It might be a good idea for you to share some history with them.
