Mama, I want to tell you about something happening this Sunday that I don't think you'll want to miss.
On May 24th — Pentecost Sunday — thousands of churches across all 50 states and around the world are participating in Baptize America, the largest synchronized baptism event in history. One day. One declaration. People stepping into the water together in a public, covenant confession of faith in Jesus Christ.
Last year, over 27,000 people were baptized in a single day across more than 1,000 locations — the largest synchronized baptism in U.S. history. This year, the vision has expanded to the whole world.
I'm wondering...Is there someone in your home who believes in their heart but has never made it public?
A teenager who's been quietly walking with Jesus but hasn't taken that step?
A husband who's been circling the decision for months?
Maybe even you?
Baptism isn't a religious ritual. It's a declaration. Romans 6:4 describes it as being buried with Christ and raised to new life — your body saying out loud what your heart already knows.
"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
— Romans 6:4
This Sunday is the anniversary of the very day the Holy Spirit fell in Acts 2 — when Peter stood up and preached and three thousand people were baptized in a single day. The Church was born in a moment of bold, public, covenant declaration. And this Sunday, believers around the world will step into those same waters together.
Pray today
Pray by name for someone in your family or circle who needs to go public with their faith. Pray that fear, hesitation, and shame would break — and that boldness would rise in its place.
Invite someone
Send a text. Make a call. Extend an invitation. You could be the reason someone says yes this Sunday.
Find a church near you
Visit baptize.org to find a participating location. If you or someone you love is ready — this is the moment.
Come and witness it
Make sure your family is witness to this historical event.
The King is worthy of a public declaration. I'm praying for your family today, that whoever needs to be in those waters on Sunday will find their way there.
Father, we stand in agreement today for every soul who will step into the water tomorrow. Draw the ones who don't know yet that Sunday is their day. Break through fear, shame, and delay. Let every baptism be a covenant moment that heaven records. And let this Pentecost Sunday be remembered as the day the Church rose in unity, the lost came home by the thousands, and the Great Commission moved forward in a way this generation has never seen. In Jesus' name, amen.
