From Frazzled to Fun

Heartbroken, we have learned today of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. While our hearts ache with grief, we can be certain that he has already entered into the joy of his Lord, hearing those cherished words: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” No doubt, he is already receiving eternal rewards in Heaven for a life lived in courage, conviction, and sacrificial service.

Lord, we ask You to surround Erika with Your presence. Be her Comforter, her Shelter, and her Peace. Hold her tightly, wrap her in Your arms, and let her experience the kind of supernatural peace that transcends human understanding. May Your abiding joy—even in sorrow—become her strength in the days ahead. I have tasted this in my own deepest valley, and I know You are faithful to give it. During prayer group one morning, as a sister lamented how “messed up” young people seem today, I sensed the Holy Spirit whisper something deeply moving to my heart:

"Young people, even those who were fortunate enough to make it to birth, have faced nefarious campaigns against them every single day of their lives."

What was the Father’s heart in that moment?
Not judgment. Not frustration.

Compassion.

Pure compassion and love for His hurting children.

And friend, I believe that compassion and love are being poured out in a fresh way right now — transforming lives and ready to transform our culture.

• In February 2023, students at Asbury University worshiped day and night for 16 days, unable to pull away because the Presence of God was so strong.
• In May 2025, 5,000 students filled Baylor’s Foster Pavilion to worship and hear the Gospel.
• This summer, 45,000 people crowded into Angel Stadium for the Harvest Crusade, with 5,500 publicly choosing to follow Christ.

Can I share something amazing with you? Earlier this year, I walked into a retreat with my back screaming at a level 9 pain. I could barely shuffle into the room, tears streaming, wondering how I could possibly deliver the one-hour keynote I was scheduled to give. Then, as my dear friend Jill prayed for me, I heard the Lord whisper to my heart: “I’ve got your back.” Moments later, as I started walking toward the stage, the pain went from a 9…to ZERO. Completely gone. I gave that message with full focus, packed up after a full day, and never once thought again about my back. Our prayers for our country are being answered, hallelujah!  (Urgent prayer request for TOMORROW at the end of this post, by the way!)

Did you see patriots break out in "How Great Thou Art" after our President-Elect delivered his speech the night of the election? What a huge breakthrough for our country, and in turn for our families! Our prayers have turned the tide.

However, many young adults I have talked to in the last 4 years have been so disillusioned by the state of our country that they have said they are considering not having children.

We need to share hope with these young people -- great days are ahead for our country, and others!

God has blessed us with a leader who has vision to repair our country and the ability to execute a plan to get there.

Have you voted yet?

I've been disheartened this critical election season to hear many Christians say they plan to sit this one out. 

“Get everyone you know, and everyone you don't know, drag them to register to vote,” Elon Musk said at an October 2024 Butler, PA Rally. “If they don’t, this will be the last election. That’s my prediction.” 

If you can't vote for someone, at least vote against another. 

A choice not to vote is a vote for the opposing side.

Can you imagine sitting this out and seeing your children grow up in a nation that continues to kill millions of more babies each year, allows men to compete against your daughters in women's sports, and whose churches have to go underground to gather for worship services?

What if you then had to admit to them that you didn't vote against it in the historical 2024 election, the election where everything hung in the balance?

No doubt, this is a battle between a good and evil agenda.

If you feel that is an exaggeration, maybe you...

It's time to wake up and get into action! Those of us who love God must all work together for the sake of our children and our children's children.

And we can even do it through creative ways like hosting a party, mentioned later in this post.

We are in a battle to save the lives of babies, the reproductive future of our children, God's plan for marriage and the family, and America's freedoms.

Why would you not get involved right now in choosing government leaders?

• You are frustrated with the system?
• You are too overwhelmed with your own personal life and family?
• You are confused by all the mixed messages?
• You have a dislike for politics?
• You feel an aversion to a personality?
• You don't feel it will make a difference?
• You don't feel you have the time?

I encourage you to remember this: When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan. Prov. 29:2

I know you are tired, but it's time for some W.O.W.!

The battle between darkness and light has never raged more blatantly in our day...the assassination attempt of a president, witches worldwide pacting to bind Trump with magical spells (tonight at 10:10 pm), and the "Woke-Lympics" (Even viewing the Olympics is not safe for your children anymore!), to name a few.

And it's likely to get worse, as there are rumblings of possible blackouts, coordinated terrorist cell uprisings, another assassination attempt, another virus, and food supply disruptions as the dark side is desperate to throw everything out in one last attempt to hijack our God-given freedoms and this Land of Liberty.

As I sought the Lord on what to send out to you today, the above painting by Kristine Monaghan came to mind. 

In the midst of the storm all around us, we must keep our eyes on Jesus, trust in Him, walk forward and encourage our families to do the same.
