Charlie Kirk: An example of courage and faith

faith patriot Sep 10, 2025

Heartbroken, we have learned today of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. While our hearts ache with grief, we can be certain that he has already entered into the joy of his Lord, hearing those cherished words: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” No doubt, he is already receiving eternal rewards in Heaven for a life lived in courage, conviction, and sacrificial service.

Lord, we ask You to surround Erika with Your presence. Be her Comforter, her Shelter, and her Peace. Hold her tightly, wrap her in Your arms, and let her experience the kind of supernatural peace that transcends human understanding. May Your abiding joy—even in sorrow—become her strength in the days ahead. I have tasted this in my own deepest valley, and I know You are faithful to give it. For Charlie’s children, we pray they would never forget the legacy of their father: brave, wise, bold, godly, a hero who poured out his life for God and for the good of this nation. May that memory inspire them to carry forward his example of courage and faith.

Even in the midst of devastation, we cling to the truth: what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn for good. May this very moment spark a holy fire in the hearts of millions. Let countless men be awakened and emboldened by Charlie’s life—men who will rise up to love Jesus fiercely, shepherd their families faithfully, and fight courageously for truth and righteousness in our culture. Let the torch Charlie carried not be extinguished but multiplied, blazing in the hands of those he inspired, both men and women.

I appreciate the words of Alex Newman from The Liberty Sentinel: “Charlie Kirk was an American hero. He was a giant among men....We need more men like Charlie—men who love Jesus, love their wives, lead their families, stand for truth, and are willing to put their own lives on the line for the sake of God and what’s right. I hope this horrific act will inspire millions of American men to do better. America was blessed to have somebody like Charlie to speak the truth boldly and courageously. Obviously, he knew this day could come at any time. Let us honor his legacy by redoubling our efforts in the fight for truth, righteousness, and liberty.”

Brenna, this is our challenge and our call. If Charlie’s life teaches us anything, it is that one life fully surrendered to God can have an immeasurable impact. May we, as he did, live lives of great courage and faith that are examples to our children. Let us not shrink back in fear or discouragement, but press forward with renewed strength, conviction, and unity. May we honor Charlie’s legacy not simply with our words, but with our lives—lives marked by faith, courage, and unyielding devotion to Christ and His Kingdom.

May his memory inspire us, his courage embolden us, and his faith lead us to stand firm in these times.

And may we, too, one day hear those words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
