To name a few, these are things I love:
- The discernment of the times - Johanan understands the reality of the spiritual battle against darkness, particularly as so much fear, horror and darkness are promoted this time of year
- The team mindset - "Hernandez Household Outdoor Theatre" Presents.... He's not going at it alone (and he didn't let venue issues stand in his way!)
- The understanding of our authority as believers, seen in the title "Chase the Devil Away" (yes, Jesus has given us power over all the power of the enemy!)
- The creativity - Using the arts as a weapon of warfare, through worship in song. He understands the power in worship.
- Taking action to DO something - He's planning a very "offensive" move in the spiritual battle in his timing of date and hours
- He is reaching out to impact others - he's stepping up as a leader to impact other's lives by saying "Join us"
- He moved forward into action with what he had - He may have not had resources for professional printing, and maybe everything is not centered "just right". Perfectionism will not keep him paralyzed from moving forward with the dream God has put in his heart.
As 1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and purity."
A few extra questions for you:
- Are you willing to turn from any choices that could be spiritually dangerous to your family?
- Are you walking by the Spirit, discerning the times?
- Do you have a team mindset in your family?
- Do you understand your authority as a believer?
- Are you willing to use your creative gifts for God's Kingdom?
- Do you realize the power of praise and worship in your life?
- Are you reaching out to impact others for the Kingdom of God?
- Are you getting into action with "the little" you have instead of allowing perfectionism to paralyze you?
Lord, help us all take these questions to heart. Lead and guide us. Show us practical ways to be good and faithful servants for you, our Father God and our King.
Let's go dispel some darkness!
With love for your families,
Brenna
